Is this a walking tour?
Yes. All Wicked Salem Tours in-person experiences are guided walking tours through historic Salem. Guests should expect to be on their feet for the duration of the tour.
How long are the tours?
Wicked Salem Tour: Approximately 60 minutes.
Wicked Historical Tour: Approximately 145 minutes.
Wicked Night Tour: Approximately 60 minutes.
Wicked Haunted Tour: Approximately 60 minutes.
Wicked Halloween Tour: Approximately 60 minutes.
Tour lengths may vary slightly due to group pacing, questions or weather.
Are the tours historically accurate?
Yes. Our tours are research-based and historically grounded, with storytelling used to enhance engagement, not replace facts. We focus on accuracy, context and responsible interpretation of Salem’s history.
Are the tours scary?
Our tours are spooky, atmospheric and engaging, but not designed to be jump-scare or haunted house experiences. Content is appropriate for general audiences unless otherwise noted.
Are children allowed?
Yes. Children are welcome, but we recommend parental discretion. Some historical themes may involve serious or mature topics presented in an educational manner.
Where do the tours start?
Each tour has the Salem Common Bandstand as the clearly listed starting location on the booking page. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time for check-in.
Where do the tours end?
Tours typically end near their final historical stop and may not return to the original starting location. Ending points are within walking distance of central Salem.
What happens if I arrive late?
Tours begin on time. If you arrive late, the group may have already departed. We recommend arriving early, as late arrivals may not be able to join once the tour has started.
Are bathrooms available during the tour?
Public restrooms are not guaranteed during the tour. We strongly recommend using facilities before arrival.
Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
Some routes include uneven sidewalks, historic streets or limited accessibility areas. If you have mobility concerns, please contact us before booking so we can advise appropriately.
What happens if it rains?
Tours run rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Can tours be canceled due to weather?
In cases of severe or unsafe weather, we may cancel or reschedule a tour. Guests will be contacted directly if this occurs.

What happens if the guide cancels?
If Wicked Salem Tours must cancel a tour for any reason, guests will be ofered a reschedule or refund, in accordance with our policies.
